Work & Human Systems

One record, not twelve restarts.

A career should not reset every time someone changes employers. We are developing one continuous record that carries learning, evidence of capability, hiring, onboarding, and employment.

In development

Implementation work is underway.

The problem

A career is continuous. The systems that carry it are not. Someone learns a skill in one place, demonstrates it in a second, is assessed in a third, is hired through a fourth, and is onboarded into a fifth that knows none of it. Each transition discards context that was expensive to establish.

The cost lands on everyone. People re-prove the same capabilities repeatedly. Employers evaluate candidates through a keyword-shaped window and call the result a signal. Verified achievements decay into unverifiable claims because nothing carried them forward.

The gap is not a missing feature in any one product. It is the absence of continuity between them.

What we are developing

  1. Continuity as the organising idea

Learning, evidence of capability, hiring, onboarding, and employment are designed as stages of one record rather than separate systems that hand off badly.

  2. Capability over keywords

The system is designed around what a person can demonstrate, rather than how well their history matches a search string.

  3. Context that survives the transition

What is established before hiring is designed to remain useful after it, so onboarding does not begin from zero.

Proof of work

What we can evidence today, with the limits of that evidence stated alongside it.

  1. A detailed production build specification and product architecture exist for the system.

This is development work. No part of the system is presented as live, released, or in use.

  2. The design treats discovery, learning, hiring, onboarding, employment, and growth as one continuous record rather than separate products.

Matching, evaluation, and ingestion approaches are not described.

Designed responsibly

  • The person holds the record

A professional history is designed to belong to the individual rather than to whichever platform recorded it.

  • Assessment that respects the person

Evaluation is designed to be explainable to the person being evaluated, not only to the organisation running it.

  • No status inflation

This work is in development. We will describe it as operating when it is operating, and not before.

Why it matters

The labour market runs on weak signals. That produces slow hiring, mismatched placements, and capable people filtered out by systems that never assessed capability.

Continuity is the difference between a market that repeatedly guesses and one that can actually recognise what a person is able to do. That is worth building carefully, and worth describing accurately while it is being built.
